Mothfoot narrowed her eyes as yet another cat wandered into the Boneyard and over to the group she was now a part of. Mothfoot eyed the brown tabby tom and said, with as much haughtiness she could put into her voice, "I didn't have a choice whether or not I wanted to hang out with him." She looked over at Grimykit, and then back at the other tom. "I'm Mothfoot, by the way. You are...?" she said, politely, in spite of the situation.

"I'm not 'hanging out' with that con over there," replied Branchkit, glancing at Grimykit once before turning her gaze back to the newcomer. Did she know him from somewhere? The she-cat stared at him more carefully and wondered if she had met him before... he seemed familiar. Then it hit her.
Of course! He had been in the conversation (more like an arguement) with Shortwhisker and some other cats. She didn't comment about this, though, and instead continued, "He just waltzed by and expects that we'll give him somethin' for that dumb lizard."

"Hey, now," Bronzefoot meowed indignantly. "Not all cons are bad. That one is, though." He nodded as she spoke. "Sounds like him - though I'm surprised he could catch anything, the clumsyclaws." He spoke as if Grimykit wasn't there - no point in addressing him. Glancing at Mothfoot, he added, "I'm Bronzefoot."

Mothfoot nodded politely to Bronzefoot. "Nice to meet you, I suppose," she said, with a glance at Grimykit. She turned back to Bronzefoot and asked quietly, "Do you... erm, know Grimykit quite well?" Mothfoot hoped he wouldn't take her assumption of him knowing Grimykit as an offensive question.

"I know him well enough to know that his name fits him quite well," Bronzefoot replied calmly and quietly, glancing at Mothfoot in a bored fashion. In fact, Bronzefoot was becoming bored of the situation. Perhaps he should leave.
The conversation was becoming duller by the second. So he drawled, "Unless you have something useful to say, I'm outta here."

"Well, I know that I'm 'outta here'," meowed Branchkit, annoyed by the way the two other females were acting so nice. Honestly, sappiness got them nowhere. Weren't they old enough to know that?
That was pretty funny coming from someone half their ages, but anyways, back to the point; Branchkit trotted out of the Boneyard with a throughly bored air.
Starless is a small, unique feline role play forum, created in August of 2008, with an intriguing but flexible plot that allows everyone to be involved. Please, feel free to take a look around. All guests are welcome to use the ooc boards and the chatbox.
Starless is set in a fictional desert. Temperatures are extreme - high during the day and low at night. The majority of the terrain consists of rugged stone with sand and dust coating the surface. Occasional rain leaves puddles for the cats to drink from. The enclosure's walls are built from stone and wood, though the poor craftsmanship resulted in many gaps and cracks, which allow light to reach through. However, these tiny hints of light are not enough for plants to grow, leaving the enclosure even more barren than the desert outside.
It is the dark season. Nights are long. During the day, clouds often cover the sun, making the scarce light even dimmer. Good thing cats can see in the dark.
Characters belong to their individual creators, as specified in the character boards. Warriors concept from the Warriors book series created by Erin Hunter.
